Overview

How do you approach communication?

Do you stay open and present during disagreements, or do you sometimes get defensive or tune out?

Do you face “difficult conversations” with clarity and kindness, or do you avoid them while resentment festers inside?

Do you share your genuine ideas and emotions, or do you find yourself oversharing or not sharing enough?

Do you listen to other’s perspectives with the same presence you like to be listened to?

If any of these rings true... you’re not alone. We can all do better in our communication.

7 Pillars of Confident and Compassionate Communication

Seven principles to help us be seen and heard – and see and hear others – in our conversations.

1. Look inward

Holistic practices to increase your self-awareness and the emotions, beliefs, and expectations between you and another person.

2. Gain Perspective

Guided exercises to build your empathy muscle and view situations from different perspectives. This helps us understand others more and soften our judgments.

3. Get clarity

Prompts and exercises to get to the root of your intention - why is this conversation important and what do you truly want to get from it? This clarity gives you a grounding standing from where you can more assertively express your needs.

4. Share with heart and meaning

Explore your tone range, body language, and how to express yourself openly. Because it's often not what we say, but how we say it.

5. Open and Active Listening

A deep dive into the powerful practice of Open and Active Listening. Hone the skills that can help you boost your listening and improve the quality of your questions.

6. Stay in your body

Prompts and practices to help you navigate the discomfort that arises when we are “activated.” Learn somatic (body) based skills that can increase your emotional resilience so you can hold strong emotions without bursting or suppressing.

Audience

Who is this for?

* Please note that we don’t have specific trainings on how to speak to specific groups of people, instead the focus is teaching you relational skills that you can translate into any relationship.

Conscious communicators who want better strategies to manage common communication behaviors like suppressing your voice, lashing out, lacking tact or clarity, always trying to win arguments, or having difficulty with connecting emotionally.

Couples who want to better listen to one another to create a deeper connection.

Facilitators, coaches, and teachers who want to learn a powerful framework to help their clients have better conversations.

Managers, leaders, and business owners who want tools to have important (aka “difficult”) conversations that create more confidence, clarity, connection, and collaboration in their teams.

Parents and caregivers who want tools to better listen to, speak with, and connect with their children while also creating a safer space for their children to communicate openly with them.
